Copycat Photographers

The idea behind the project is to give budding DSLR owners who don't know how to go beyond the Auto mode a helping hand. The application helps them search photos taken in their vicinity by other more accomplished photographers, through flickr. When they see something they like, the application gives them walking directions to the site of the shot and then gives them key information from the metadata of the photo to try their hand at taking the shot manually. The user seprately also uploads his or her photo to flickr and shares a side-by-side comparison of the original with his photos with his friends through email and facebook. They then rate the photos for similarity and the user scores points that then go on a leaderboard.
